Stonewall Cup Cozy
Last year, I started the journey on cutting out more sugar from my diet and it was going quite well until the Covid 19 pandemic happened. There has been many movie and game nights with my family with pizza, treats and pop. I do not regret it one bit because in the current state of the world, my family made happy memories and spent quality time together. I guess in a teeny tiny way, I am grateful because we were given the opportunity to spend more time together as a family due to my husband’s hours being cut.
All that being said, all the treats and junk food are catching up with me and I am not feeling like my best self.
I have definitely been more tired, moody, bloated and just feeling yucky so, I need to get back on track.
Starting with my coffee, while I wont cut out coffee from my diet because ….. well it’s coffee!

Though, I do intend on cutting out the sugar and lessening the amount of cream is in it. I know I can do this as I have done it in the past and it’s just a matter of getting used to it again.
When I did this last year, I remember how hot my coffee cup was and I started using the cardboard sleeves that coffee shops offered. I really dislike those sleeves; I feel they are wasteful, and I just feel guilty using them, so my creative side kicked in.
I decided to create my own reusable cup cozy that was functionable and suited my personality. Just pop in my bag and it is there when I need it but what I really want to do is share this pattern with all of you so you can make your own cup cozy and prevent burning your hands!
