Acicularis Cowl
Hello Lovelies!!!
I am so excited to show you what I have been working on the last little while. It has been really difficult to keep it a secret and I have wanted to share photos with you all so badly.
I was fortunate enough to be a part of Furls Crochet and Crochet Foundry’s 2022 Blog Hop. I really wanted this project to be super special and include elements that scream A Knotty Habit Designs. I think I pulled it off with lots of colour and oh so stunning texture! I am in love with the sheen of Furls Fibrearts Wander yarn. It’s so soft and a dream to work with! If you haven’t worked with their products yet, I highly recommend them. Their odyssey hooks have really helped the soreness in my hands and have allowed me to crochet longer without pain.
Will You Make an Acicularis Cowl?
PATTERN : Acicularis Cowl

5.5 mm crochet hook (or hook to obtain gauge).
Worsted weight (4) yarn. I used Furls Wander Yarn.
Colour A: 135 yards.
Colour B: 65 yards.
Colour C: 150 yards
Yarn needle
Measuring tape
Scissors
Gauge:
7 SC by 8 rows = 2 inch square

SC: Single Crochet
CL: Cluster – Yarn over, insert hook in desired ST, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops (2 loops left on hook), yarn over, insert hook in same ST, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops (3 loops left on hook), yarn over, insert hook in same ST, yarn over and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through 2 loops (4 loops left on hook), yarn over and pull through all 4 loops left on hook, CH 1.

Notes: Written in US terminology. All CH 1/2 do not count as a stitch. If you are having trouble matching the gauge, you may need to go up or down a hook size. Be sure not to do your CHs to tight or it will affect the size of your cowl.
