Linden Tote

Hey friends!!
It has been a minute since I last posted and I sure missed you all! I am so excited to writing this post and bringing you are brand new pattern, which you may recognize this stitch pattern from a certain collection.

The past few months have been really busy but not of the crochet kind. My family caught covid at the beginning of February and for my children, they got better within a few days. Unfortunately for me, it took me five weeks, antibiotics, steroids and couple of virtual doctors appointments.

Easter just passed and my children’s spring break is coming to an end. We decided to spend Easter at our favourite place, the lake house, and kept it low key this year. I think all of us just needed rest and recharge. It was honestly so nice to not have to be on the go all the time. I am not ready for that to end just yet.

Spring is Right Around the Corner!

Even though we are on spring break, we just had to major snow storms this past week.  It honestly looks like we are in the middle of winter instead of spring! Like I always say, Alberta weather is a little unpredictable.

As you probably have guessed, this weeks blog pattern is part of the Linden Collection. While it isn’t a super quick make to work up, the texture is gorgeous and is sure to turn heads this spring and summer.

It's Market Season!!

I really love this texture and I keep coming back to this texture for new patterns. I love the repetitions and how it works so well with two colours of yarn. It’s the perfect pattern to experiment with colour combinations.

PATTERN : Linden Tote

What you need:
4 mm and 5 mm crochet hook (or hook to obtain gauge).

Worsted weight (4) yarn.  I used Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (approx. 200 yards of each colour)

Yarn needle
Measuring tape
Scissors

Gauge:

4 SC by 4 rows = 1 inch square

Stitches you will be working with:

CH: Chain
SC: Single Crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet
BLO: Back Loop Only
SLST: Slip Stitch
STS: Stitches
SK: Skip

Notes:  Written in US terminology.  All CH 1 do not count as a stitch.  If you are having trouble matching the gauge, you may need to go up or down a hook size. You may make your strap as long or as short as you like by adjusting your starting chains.
