Summer Sweet Cold Brew Cozy

Hello Lovelies!!!

I know you have seen lots of fall themed photos over on my Instagram and Facebook lately but that doesn’t mean I am done with summer makes just yet.

It has been an incredibly beautiful summer here in Alberta. We have had warmer temperatures, less fluctuation in temperatures and way more sunshine! It has been wonderful!!

Though with all the warmer weather, it has made me not want to drink hot coffee and was introduced to cold brew coffee. Well lets just say, I am a huge fan!!

Vanilla sweet cream cold brews have been a favourite for me this summer and it is safe to say I would still drink them in the fall and winter months from time to time. Honestly, I will drink coffee however it is made.

So this week I have one last summer crochet pattern for the year. The Summer Sweet Cold Brew Cozy is sure add beautiful texture and keep your hands from getting cold while you enjoy your favourite cold drink! It also makes the perfect back to school teacher gift!

PATTERN :
Summer Sweet Cold Brew Cozy

What you need:
5 mm crochet hook (or hook to obtain gauge).

Worsted weight (4) yarn. I used ILTY (approx. 40 – 60 yards)

Yarn needle
Measuring tape
Scissors

Gauge:

9 rows of body by 8 STS = 2in x 2in square

Stitches you will be working with:

CH: Chain
SC: Single Crochet
HDC: Half Double Crochet

HHDC: Herringbone Half Double Crochet: Yarn over (YO), insert hook into the next ST, YO and pull through the ST and the first loop on the hook, YO and then pull through the last 2 loops.

MC: Magic Circle
SLST: Slip Stitch
STS: Stitches
SK: Skip

Cup Sizes: Small (12 ounces), Medium (16 ounces), Large (22 ounces)

Notes: Written in US terminology. All CH 1 do not count as a stitch. If you are having trouble matching the gauge, you may need to go up or down a hook size.

Row 2: CH 1, 2 HDC in each ST around, SLST to join, turn. 20 STS
