Overcomer Shawl: Week 2 CAL

Hi Lovelies!!

I am so overwhelmed with the love and support you have all shown me and the Overcomer Shawl last week. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect but it has honestly been so much more than I could have ever imagined. I woke up launch day feeling nervous and a little unsure but when I opened my phone, there were emails and messages from some of you sharing your own stories or just showing your support. I cried, like full on ugly cried because I am so grateful to have been able to inspire some of you by my story and be able to support you through your own stories.  The support I have received and messages letting me know they are there to talk about it and all the well wishes had me so overwhelmed in such an amazing way.
This is why I did the Overcomer Shawl as my first crochet along. I wanted it to mean something to not only me but for you as well.

I can hardly believe that we are on Week 2! It was so hard not to launch this early because I just get so excited when I see your photos pop up on social media or in the Facebook CAL group. It’s just so exciting seeing your take on the Overcomer Shawl!

Did you enjoy Week 1 of the Overcome Shawl CAL?

Week 2 consists of the whole first colour and a colour transition, which is super exciting because who doesn’t like to watch their work grow and see the added colours! You will be working with colours A and D this week.

I find when I get to switch colours, it breaks up the project and makes it seem like the project is going faster.

Last week we got to know eachother, gathered our materials and did our gauge swatch which consisted of the first 3 rows of the pattern.

This week we will continue with our 6 mm hook or hook used to meet gauge (I used my Furls Odyssey Hook) and with your gauge swatch from week 1.

Are you excited to start working on week 2?
